Hempstead Company founded in 1991 by Christopher Boucher who help co-found and pioneer in the first American hemp industry (HIA) in 1993. Boucher helped draft California's first Industrial Hemp Bill during 1995. From 1996-99 Hempstead helped author and pass the Navajo Nation's first Hemp laws for the Native American Dine' farmers. This continuous effort to help make hemp available for family farmers is a lifetime goal for Mr Boucher. People in general will be healthier by eating a staple EFA hemp seed food in their daily diet. It’s the future of food. Also wearing and using hemp fabric feels great on your body and helps the environment. Hemp is naturally Anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-static, #1 wicking fiber.
Our Goal is to bring hemp fabric textiles and hemp oil products into the mainstream USA. Hempstead's strategy to enhance local farmers and create jobs in rural communities while enhancing the environment. Hempstead is promoting greater public awareness and media exposure touting hemp as the super crop of all agriculture. California and 7 other US States have laws or in progress Industrial Hemp laws.
